It was conveniant to the college and the surrounding restuarants. Everything was within walking distance.; And it was very affordable.
It was outdated ; could use just a lttle tlc; paint and new rugs.

Availability to major areas of interest.
Needs upgrading badly.

This hotel (motel) is good considering its low priced for the accommodation ans clean. Personnel are very helpful.

Nothing was likable about this motel.
Not just a budget motel, but a low end budget hotel.

The room smelled funny when I arrived. The towels were almost threadbare. The room was tidy but strictly low end. There was no internet connection in the room but was one in the tiny cramped lobby - except that computer suffered a hard disk problem and was unusable. There was no closet for clothes to be hung up, just an extension rack from the wall next to the bathroom door. Some college kids were in the room above me and with all the cracking noise I heard from the ceiling I truly thought the ceiling might give way. Fortunately the ceiling held and I lived to tell my story and this information on to the reader. ...read more

Very convenient and quiet.
Lumpy bed and thin towels.

A very good hotel for the price. Still a good value.

Room was clean.
TV and furniture dated from 1950.

A good place to stay to be close to U of MA, with no amenities. Free coffee in AM was the highlight of the experience.

Initially we were in a downstairs room. We spent a night where we could hear all manner of walking, stomping and pounding from the room above us.

The place was ok as an economy motel room, but in our room we could hear people walking, talking etc. from the rooms upstairs. It was midnight when it was noisiest and there was no one in the office nor would anyone answer the motel phone. The next two nights we asked for an upstairs room and it was much better. ...read more

Proximity to Amherst proper, Amherst College and Umass.
Price ($144) for the room is very expensive for the overall quality of the facility.

Midtown, between UMass campus and the Town proper. Easy access to colleges, shopping, culinary opportunities. The facility is very basic; two double beds, curtains on the window and tub/ shower. Clean, neat but rather stark in furnishings. Hotel staff were courteous and willing to assist the traveler. Late arrival/ check-out were accommodated. However, the room was at the level of a Motel Six for the price of five nights at the Motel Six. If I didn't need the proximity, I'd check in at the HoJo's, Quality Inn, etc. for 2/3 less. ...read more
